Today wraps up an amazing week at GDC. Thanks to everyone who came by to meet our dev team, to tell us about your projects, and to check out Unreal Engine 4.
It’s been fun to talk with you about the games you’re making, and the games we’re making. The creativity and energy we see in your work is inspiring. We can’t wait to see what you create.
This was the first time our booth was open to everybody attending GDC. It’s been a learning experience for us, and we’ve already made some changes to our plans for next year. We’re going to have more open space, more demo stations, and we will showcase some of your games on the floor. Much more on that later.
It’s also been fun to see everyone’s reaction to the price. At $19 a month, you get to put your money into the game, and we only succeed when you succeed.
Some questions have come up about Unreal Engine 4 for schools. Epic Games enthusiastically supports the use of Unreal Engine 4 for education. Buy one seat for your school, and install it on every computer. More information can be found here and here.
Thanks again! Your enthusiasm is infectious, and we can’t wait to get started on the first update.
