Today we're pleased to reveal the final three Unreal Dev Grant recipients for the month of March.
The program is five weeks old, and this brings our total to nine teams who have collectively received $139,000 so far.
404Sight from Retro Yeti Games – $13,000
Retro Yeti Games is comprised of University of Utah students who are making 404Sight, an endless runner game that feels slightly like Mirror’s Edge, with elements of both Robot Unicorn Attack and Wipeout mixed in. Their game is also built to be a statement about Net Neutrality – more on that here. 404Sight made it through Steam Greenlight in only six days. For more information, visit http://404sight.com/.
ADR1FT from Three One Zero – $15,000
Originally prototyped using another toolset, ADR1FT has been making the rounds – most recently at GDC 2015 – in all of its Unreal Engine 4 glory on PC and console. The game is also stunning in VR. Visit http://adr1ft.com/ for details on the game.
Storm United from PixelBeam – $10,000
PixelBeam was one month away from releasing Storm United on another engine when Epic launched Unreal Engine 4 subscription last year. They made the decision to bootstrap and fully port the game over, and now their massively multiplayer FPS with deep social interactions is coming soon to Steam Greenlight. Check out the alpha CTF gameplay footage below and visit their website at http://pixelbeam.org/.
Thanks so much to everyone building amazing projects with UE4! Keep the dev grant submissions coming.
